Since 1972, the St. Louis Cluster, ACPE has provided persons
with a culturally rich, diverse and unified context for Clinical
Pastoral Education and Supervisory Education. The uniqueness of the St. Louis Cluster
lies in its very diverse clinical settings for learning and
its ongoing relationship with major St. Louis seminaries:
Eden Theological Seminary (United Church of Christ), Aquinas
Institute of Theology (Roman Catholic), Concordia Seminary (Missouri Synod
Lutheran) and Urshan Graduate School of Theology (United Pentecostal Church). The St. Louis Cluster centers are accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc.

Training Opportunities
Residency CPE
A full-time program of in-depth learning through long-term
clinical placement, contractual supervision and professional
development. Stipend.

The acute-care track runs 12 months (September to

Summer CPE
An intensive full-time, 11 week program for persons who
are able to immerse themselves in learning through the clinical
method. Offered late May through mid-August. Inquiries, applications and fees should be forwarded to the supervisor of your preferred center. See Cluster Programs & Application Process for further program details and supervisor contact information.
Extended CPE
For persons able to make a part-time commitment. Individual
centers and Community-Based CPE offer these units regularly,
usually beginning in the Fall or Spring. Winter units may also be available. Please forward any inquiries, completed applications and fees to the supervisor of the center which offers the program. See
